‘3M: Towards Green Building Energy Efficiency’

Recently, SABE team of 5 lecturers attended a technical seminar ‘Towards Green Building Energy Efficiency by 3M Innovation Centre in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam on 26th August 2014. The seminar aimed to introduce 3M Green Solutions various product research and development to support the drive towards green and sustainable living in Malaysia. The seminars started with a guided tour of the innovation gallery displaying the various products carrying the 3M Brand. The 3M sustainable Innovation products for building includes Lighting solutions, Adhesive & Sealants, Building Management, Construction & Home Improvements, Home and Office supplies, Industrial & Energy Solutions, Industrial tapes and Large format graphics. The session continued with product briefings which include the highlight on the latest R&D in window films and ended with the latest technology on gated guarded community application system called Techno-Guard. It is a compact half-day event however it is indeed a fruitful visit.
